A video shared on social media in 2020 left many internet users puzzled; in the footage, we see a massive moose sprinting across the waters of a river and crossing in front of a small boat. At the time, the images quickly went viral, and soon the animal was being dubbed ‘Moose Jesus.’

Despite many people not believing that a creature of that size could ‘float’ on the water, Kristy Paniptchuk, who was on the boat and filmed the moose, explained that the video is real and that there is a good explanation for what happened.
